Aerial Trooper.
A character and his flying wing from my book series.
These are the flyboys, the protectors of the sky.
As with most of these characters, it is a piece that looks like a head that informs the design of the character. A few kit parts to me looked like a very tall almost goofy robot.
Originally they were going to fly aircraft, but I thought it would be fun for them to just have, basically a jet pack.
The jet pack was mostly kit parts with a few turned aluminium parts. I built it at the same time as the robot to ensure they both fit together.
They usually wear goggles, but being robots they don’t need them, they just feel cool in them.
The goggles actually served the means to give the character expressions by changing the position of them on their faces.
